Looking for a role where you can make a difference and really shine? Our fabulous #TeamWestDunCS in Clydebank are on the lookout for caring and motivated colleagues to join us as Support Practitioners on a permanent part‑time (up to 30 hours per week) basis.
The Role and The People We Support
You will become part of one of our fun, friendly and dedicated teams who provide support to individuals with various support needs within their own homes. You’ll assist with daily living activities, including cooking, meal preparation, personal care, and financial management, helping clients maintain their homes and stay active members of their local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist clients with cooking and preparing meals
* Provide personal care support
* Help manage finances and complete routine tasks
* Encourage participation in community activities (e.g., swimming, basketball, cinema visits)
* Support clients in maintaining their own homes and daily routines
Qualifications and Requirements
* No previous care experience or qualifications required – we recruit on values and transferable skills
* Good communication skills
* A caring attitude
* Positive approach to learning
* Understanding of routines and adherence to guidelines
* Confidence in the use of computers
* Full manual UK driver licence with at least one year of experience (beneficial but not mandatory)
* Confidence in the water (beneficial)
Training and Development
We will pay for your training and any necessary qualifications, including funding for an SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and SSSC yearly registration fees. Successful candidates will be required to register with SSSC within three months of starting employment.
Shift Patterns
Support is offered 7 days a week, typically between 8 am and 6 pm, with occasional earlier or later shifts to meet client needs. You may work with more than one individual in a day.
