Job Description
Contribute to the effective leadership, management, and strategic direction of teaching and related activities. Focus on curriculum development and delivery, school policies, and pupil assessments. Provide advice, support, and guidance to colleagues and pupils to promote, deliver, and integrate key objectives aligned with the Education Plan and Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a PVG Scheme member regarding Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made. PVG records are regularly updated; any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary full-time position at Kilmarnock Academy, William McIlvanney Campus, until 27 June 2026. The role involves 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the line manager. The salary ranges from £40,305 to £50,589 annually.
