Senior Therapeutic Radiographer Researcher

We offer an exciting two-year fixed-term position for a motivated, research-experienced radiographer to be a key member of our Radiography Research Unit. This role involves working with the sarcoma unit to translate research findings into clinical practice improvements benefiting cancer patients locally, nationally, and internationally.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Researcher (Nurse, AHP, Pharmacist, Therapeutic Radiographer) will provide leadership, management, and expertise in applied cancer research, collaborating with research teams, disciplines, patients, and academic staff. Responsibilities include acting as a resource and advisor, supporting the radiography and applied cancer research group, and staying updated on methodological approaches. The post involves attending meetings and contributing to educational programs.

* Manage applied health researchers within the team and liaise with staff accordingly.
* Support the Clinical Research Executive to foster an environment aligned with the department's strategy, enhancing the Trust's reputation.
* Work autonomously in all practice areas related to Applied Health Research.

Person specification
Education/Qualifications
* HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer (requires BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy or equivalent)
* PhD
Experience
* Experience in clinical research settings
* Publication and report writing experience
* Data management skills
* Supervision experience
* Experience with complex technologies/trials in radiotherapy
* Radiotherapy dosimetry experience
* Clinical radiotherapy experience for sarcoma patients
* Experience in oncology and patient/public involvement
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
* Understanding of clinical trials and regulations
