You will join our friendly and experienced team of Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioners (DAPs), Dietetic Assistants (DAs) and Nutrition Nurse Specialists who are based across the trust. You will support our acute adult clinical team by covering a variety of wards and general outpatient clinics which may be virtual, face to face, telephone and domiciliary.

About the department
We are a large department with over 50 staff across several teams: acute, diabetes, paediatrics, community, adult weight management, home enteral feeding, public health and admin, predominately based between the 3 main sites. This post will sit within the acute adult team although we can offer the opportunity to gain experience by shadowing the other teams. We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, covering one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country. Leading in innovation and quality - opening a state of the art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England.
