LCV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity
We are looking for an experienced LCV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter to join the team in Barnstaple in a busy and well:equipped vehicle workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high:quality workmanship and maintaining fleet vehicles to the highest safety and compliance standards.
Working on a diverse fleet of light vehicles, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy, compliant, and available for operational use. The role offers a varied workload, a supportive team environment and the opportunity to work with specialist equipment and vehicle systems.
Duties of the LCV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter role
: Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles and equipment.
: Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
: Complete all job cards, inspection reports, and fleet management system updates accurately and within required timescales.
: Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
: Ensure vehicles are only returned to service when they are safe, roadworthy, and fully compliant.
Experience/skills required for the LCV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
: Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent time:served qualification.
: Experience of vehicle inspections and compliance requirements.
: Able to commute to Barnstaple on a daily basis
