A welcoming and well‑respected secondary school in Chorley is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join their team from 23rd February, continuing through to at least the end of the academic year.
About the Role
As Office Manager, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of the school’s administrative functions. You’ll lead a small office team, support senior leadership, and ensure efficient, professional communication across the school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the school office
* Line manage administrative staff and monitor workflow
* Maintain accurate pupil records and manage school data systems (SIMS experience desirable)
* Support SLT with communication, diary management, and reporting
* Handle enquiries from parents, staff and external agencies
* Manage attendance processes and safeguarding administration
* Ensure compliance with school policies and statutory requirements
* Support with HR administration, recruitment paperwork and onboarding
About You
* Previous experience in a school office or similar busy administrative environment
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Confident using school systems and Microsoft Office
* Able to prioritise, multitask and remain calm under pressure
* A positive, professional manner and a commitment to supporting the school community
