About Us:
Chevron Traffic Management is a leading provider of Traffic Management solutions across the UK. As we expand our Urban Solutions Division, we are launching new depots strategically placed around the UK, to support our growing operations.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Hire Controller to oversee all administrative functions at the depot, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role is crucial in managing staff records, vehicle logistics, hire contracts, and customer interactions, playing a key part in supporting the depot’s success.
About the role of Hire Controller:
As Hire Controller, you will be the central point of coordination for all depot related administration. You will ensure that staff records, vehicle allocations, contracts, and customer enquiries are handled efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of organisation and compliance.
You will be customer-facing, assisting with enquiries and ensuring smooth interactions between the depot, clients, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
12. Maintain staff records, including training, certifications, and scheduling
13. Manage vehicle allocations, servicing schedules, and hire contracts
14. Act as the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries professionally and efficiently
15. Support the Depot Manager in financial tracking, invoicing, and reporting
16. Assist with contract management, ensuring all agreements are up to date and compliant
17. Implement and maintain IT systems and digital records for effective depot management
18. Support stock control, procurement, and general office organisation
19. Ensure all Health & Safety and compliance documentation is maintained accurately
20. Oversee all administrative tasks within the depot to ensure smooth operations
Desirable attributes for a Hire Controller:
21. Experience in a fast paced administrative role
22. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
23. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
24. Excellent communication and customer service skills
25. Ability to work independently and to deadlines
Desirable attributes for a Hire Controller:
26. Experience managing vehicle records, contracts, or fleet administration
27. Knowledge of local Suffolk operations and logistics
