Financial Controller
We are seeking a new Financial Controller to support the Director of Finance Operations by directly managing and developing the finance team to:
1. Ensure the accurate and timely production of statutory and internal financial reporting, including consolidated accounts, and meet all external reporting requirements.
2. Establish and maintain robust financial controls across all finance-related activities and processes, addressing any weaknesses promptly.
3. Manage and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and motivation, including overseeing personal development processes and setting objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Strong people management skills and experience, with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire team members towards company, department, and personal goals.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills; fluent in English.
3. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
4. Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, FRS102, Tax, and HMRC requirements.
5. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
6. Oversee the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and project completion within deadlines.
7. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
8. Implement and maintain internal controls and financial systems.
9. Support senior management with financial insights and performance analysis.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Proven track record as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent degree.
2. Experience in financial management, ideally within a UK-based organization and sector.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
4. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
6. Knowledge of SAP 4Hana, SAP Cloud Analytics, or data analytics tools.
7. Experience with international subsidiaries.
8. Ability to investigate and manipulate complex data using pivot tables; advanced Excel skills.
9. Fluent in English (oral and written).
Location: The role requires attendance at our Hemel Hempstead office 5 days a week.
