Business Support and Exams Officer
We are seeking a self‑motivated, reliable, multiskilled and proactive Business Support and Exams Officer to join our Administration team at Barton Moss Secure Care Centre. The Centre is a 24‑bed secure care facility, part of the national Secure Children’s Home network, that cares for sentenced and remanded males under the age of 18.
About the role
* Integral part of the Business Support service, ensuring effective and efficient administration support to internal and external customers.
* Assist and support the development of standardised systems, processes and practices in response to changes.
* Collaborate with other members of the Business Support Team to support integrated working.
* Record and maintain client information and data collection systems, validating data before entry.
* Produce relevant data analysis to meet internal needs and key performance indicators.
* Support booking of meetings and visits and produce high‑quality minutes when required.
* Produce a range of documents and resources to an excellent standard.
* Assist colleagues with sourcing resources and processing orders.
Area of specialism within the Business Support Team
* Designated Business Support Officer for the Education Department.
* Designated Exams Officer for the education department, responsibilities including:
o Exam registration
o Access requirements
o Coursework submission
o Exam paper receipt and storage
o Exam room set‑up
o Exam invigilation organisation
o Ad hoc JCQ examination check
o Submission of exam papers
o Presence for examination results in August

Job Requirements
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Successful candidates will need to meet the cost of the DBS check (£49.50). The payment will be deducted from the first four months’ salary at £12.38 per month. If employment is not commenced for any reason after the DBS has been processed, an invoice will be sent for £49.50.
