Job Description:
My client is a leader in the SME soft services facilities sector and differentiates themselves through the delivery of technology-led and quality-driven support services to the built environment. They are looking to substantially grow over the next 3 years. Due to growth, they are looking to recruit four Business Development Directors, specializing in specific verticals.
1. Business Development Director - Retail Sector
2. Business Development Director - DC/Logistics/Manufacturing Sector
3. Business Development Director or Manager - Public Sector
4. Business Development Manager - Professional Services/Managing Agents
The position will be remote (hybrid working can be offered if preferred). The main objective of the role is to identify new business opportunities, define a sector target market plan, and then lead the pursuit and bid process. This involves delivering innovative competitive bespoke tenders, aiming to be the partner of choice and therefore be awarded the cleaning contract.
Responsibilities will include developing a robust pipeline, investing in deepening the knowledge and relationship of the potential client portfolio by using internal and external market intelligence. The aim is to develop a strong relationship with multi-level stakeholders, identify clients' values, and seek out innovation in all areas to create a compelling bid and operational model for clients.

My client is looking for the successful candidate to have excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to extract clients' true values. You should be able to demonstrate a clear and personable communication style with the ability to quickly engage with and influence others, using a creative flair both in presentations and bid submissions.
In return, they are offering:
- Basic salary up to £95,000
- Plus commission OTE £130,000 uncapped
- Car/car allowance and benefits
