About The Role:
Days of Working: Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern: 6am to 2pm or 8am to 4pm
As a Gas & Heating Engineer at OCS, your primary goal is to deliver integrated gas and mechanical services to the contract. You will focus on continuous service and cost improvements by identifying, promoting, and implementing innovative systems, processes, procedures, and products.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist in forecasting requirements, creating budgets, and scheduling expenses for the gas, plumbing, and mechanical departments.
2. Fix and maintain plant and equipment on site in accordance with SFG20 recommendations.
3. Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services.
4. Supervise gas, plumbing, and mechanical works during new projects.
5. Undertake PPMs as issued from the CAFM system and ensure they are completed within the prescribed timescale.
6. Undertake reactive maintenance activities within the prescribed timescale to ensure rectification times are met, whether temporary or permanent.
7. Provide updates to the CAFM team regarding the condition of each asset to inform the maintenance budget and lifecycle decisions.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
1. Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
2. An enhanced DBS check will be completed for the successful candidate.
3. Hold Commercial Gas Tickets (TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, COCN1 or CODNCO1, CDGA1, CCP1).
4. Possess Domestic Gas Tickets (CCN1, CKR1, CPA 1).
5. Proven experience in delivering maintenance services (Plumbing, Gas & Heating) in educational or commercial environments is highly preferable.
6. Appointed Person LV desirable or willing to work towards certification.
7. NEBOSH/IOSH Certification is desirable; training will be provided.
8. Legionella legislation/responsible person certification.
9. IT literate, proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
