Residential Practice Development Lead : Childrens Homes : Channel Islands
Contract: 6 months Hours: Full:time, 37 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
Rate: GBP48p/hr : GBP52.50p/hr
Location: Channel Islands : on:island only (no remote working)

Join our team on this beautiful island as a Residential Practice Development Lead and play a vital role in shaping and improving the care we provide for children and young people in our residential homes.
The Role
As Practice Development Lead, you will:
Lead the development and implementation of outstanding care and support practice
Equip staff with the skills and confidence to deliver trauma:informed, relational, and child:centered care
Work closely with managers and frontline teams to meet the emotional, social, and developmental needs of children in our homes
Coach and mentor staff, lead training workshops, and embed a learning culture aligned with our restorative and child:rights:based practice model
Drive quality assurance and improvement work, closing the loop on feedback and audits
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with at least 5 years experience in statutory social work
Significant experience working with:
Children and families in need and child protection
Looked after children and care proceedings
Residential settings and/or childrens homes
Proven ability to:
Deliver workshops, coaching and mentoring
Lead or support service improvement and practice development
Quickly build strong working relationships with staff and young people
Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service)
Registered with Social Work England
Drivers licence and right to work in the UK
Available to live and work full:time on the Island for the full duration of the contract
