An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Physiotherapy Band 3 Clinical Support Assistant to join our experienced, dedicated and forward‑thinking mental health Physiotherapy Inpatients service. This post, based at St Georges Park Morpeth will provide physiotherapy‑led interventions to inpatients who have a wide range of mental and physical health issues and will work across Working Age Adult and Older Person’s pathways.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy care to service users with diverse mental health, learning disabilities and/or neurological conditions under the direction of a registered physiotherapist.
* Support the delivery of specialist group sessions, education sessions and 1:1 sessions under the guidance of a qualified physiotherapist.
* Assist with the management and maintenance of physiotherapy equipment and administrative duties.
* Provide treatment according to set treatment protocols after assessment and handover by qualified staff and monitor patient progress, ensuring regular feedback is given to therapists and nurses.
* Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team and provide compassionate, empathy‑based care that respects dignity and integrity.
* Actively engage with supervision and appraisal processes as identified in Trust policy.
