The University of Plymouth Accommodation Services provides safe and secure housing for students and keyworkers. We believe that our strength lies in our dedicated staff who help students and keyworker staff with their everyday needs. The University of Plymouth Accommodation Services are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated cleaner to work at our student and keyworker accommodation site in Truro.
You will have experience working in a cleaning role including within an accommodation setting. Working in a small team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and clean environment for our students and keyworker residents. Some lone working will be required. You will have an awareness of manual handling skills and a reasonable degree of physical fitness as you will be required to move, lift, use and carry cleaning equipment, supplies and waste bags. Some flexibility in hours of work will be a requirement of this role including early mornings, evenings and some weekend working. There will be restrictions with regards to the taking of blocks of annual leave, in particular over the summer period.
There is an additional document with the job role as the cleaning role covers a lot. Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home.
