THE POSITION
The Credit Control Manager oversees a team of both geographically dispersed and centrally based credit controllers. Due to the group's continued growth, there is a need to expand the central team to 14 staff.
The accounting system used is an industry-specific package called MAM. It is a Windows-based system and intuitive for users familiar with any other Windows-based accounting software. Training will be provided as needed.
Areas of responsibility will include:
* Contacting business customers when payments are overdue
* Negotiating repayment plans for customers facing financial difficulties
* Setting up and maintaining customer files (Head Office)
* Processing payments
* Initiating legal proceedings if debts are not settled within an agreed timeframe (Head Office)
* Liaising with internal departments
* Producing and sending collection letters (Head Office)
* Assisting in notifying new business acquisition customers of ownership changes (Head Office)
* Performing bank reconciliations
