Enforcement Senior Officer

Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) are a leading supplier working in collaboration with many Local Authorities to address issues of littering and fly tipping within boroughs. Utilizing advanced technology, industry experience, and a thorough understanding of PACE and relevant legislation, WISE is a preferred supplier.
Main Purpose of the Role as Enforcement Team Leader:
You will patrol the borough based on intelligence, enforce relevant legislation, and issue on-the-spot Fixed Penalty Notices when appropriate.
Responsibilities as Enforcement Team Leader:
* Act as Brand Ambassador for the local authority and WISE, serving as the first point of contact for clients.
* Patrol the borough according to deployment strategies.
* Investigate complaints and document outcomes.
* Manage equipment sign-in and sign-out daily.
* Ensure coverage during team members' leave or absence to maintain service quality.
* Complete daily vehicle inspection forms before operating company vehicles.
* Engage with the public to educate about environmental crimes.
* Follow WISE's Standard Operating Procedures when issuing Fixed Penalty Notices.
* Attend court proceedings and provide evidence as required.
Ideal Candidate:
* Excellent communication skills, resilient under demanding circumstances.
* Ability to use initiative and work effectively within a team.
* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Clear and concise writing skills.
* Physically fit to conduct prolonged foot patrols.
* Successful completion of the Enviro Crime Induction Course and competency sign-off by a Training Officer.
This is a full-time contract requiring 8-10 hours daily between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays, totaling 40-50 hours per week. The pay rate is £15 per hour, with 28 days of annual leave including bank holidays.
Please note: All candidates will undergo vetting; cooperation during screening is essential to avoid delays. Start dates are planned for February.
