Key Elements of the Role
* Accountable for all aspects of business analysis delivery within a specific project, product or programme.
* Billable consulting role supporting blended client teams or part of a wider Herd team engagement.
* Lead on engagements throughout all stages, working independently, making decisions and gaining consensus on appropriate actions and decisions.
* Engage early on (exploration or discovery) or later within the delivery lifecycle.
* Encouraged to engage in wider professional communities and share experiences internally and externally through blogs, podcasts and speaking at events.
* May write or contribute to case studies, articles, etc. to promote capabilities and services.
* Support sales activities for bids, tenders, pre‑sales work and production of Statements of Work.
* Future possibility to task or line‑manage mid‑level and junior BAs, caring for wellbeing, supporting growth, managing performance, serving as first‑point of call.
* Support hiring activities – CV/application sifting, development of assessment scenarios, interview panel member, and hiring recommendations.
* Small but growing scale‑up – embrace required engagement where needed.

Desirable Experience
* Experience in Central Government, Local Authorities, Higher Education, and Charities – a plus.
* First‑hand experience working to the GOV.UK Service Standard – another plus.
* Experience in data analysis using Power BI, SQL, or Python – a plus.
