With strong family ownership, experienced leadership, and clear ambitions for the future, the business is seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director to add independent perspective, strategic oversight, and governance strength at Board level. This role is about trusted counsel and constructive challenge—supporting the CEO and Board to make confident, well-judged decisions as the business evolves. The Role The Non-Executive Director will: Provide independent strategic oversight and constructive challenge Act as a trusted adviser and mentor to the CEO Strengthen governance, risk management, and long-term planning Support sustainable growth and value creation Uphold the values, culture, and reputation of HSL Chairs Candidate Profile Proven Board or senior leadership experience Previous Non-Executive Director experience is essential Strong commercial acumen, ideally in a consumer-facing or growth business Experience in family-owned or owner-managed environments essential Strategic, credible, emotionally intelligent, and values-led Time Commitment Approximately 3 days per month, including Board meetings and ad-hoc CEO support.
