They are focused on mergers and acquisitions, and they integrate new businesses and technology into the 'mothership'. Plenty of projects to get stuck into here!
This is a newly created position and you will be reporting to the CTO. Your major stakeholders also report to the CTO and comprise x3 Software Engineering Managers (managing circa 30 developers) and a Head of SRE (managing 5 SREs). These four managers will be your day-to-day contacts. Due to the collaborative nature of this role, it will be expected that you be able to attend the central London office once a week.
Non-negotiables:

* Understanding of DevOps technologies (IaC, Configuration Management, Containerisation, CI/CD, Test Automation)

* Focus on the scalability, growth and speed of the applications
* Work with an external IT Service Provider / MSP to ensure there’s design alignment between their architecture/processes and your local domain
* Act as an advisor for the Azure platform and software architecture across the business
In this role, you will be designing the Azure architecture and then working with the Platform team (Azure SREs) and squads (Software Engineering teams) to help build and steer them to build the Azure platform and software from the correct architectural perspective. It would be super helpful if, for example, you could say; “the NSG should go here” or “These are the IPs for the root tables” etc.
