Job description We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to provide support to the property department to aid in the smooth running of the Company’s property interests. Working around our stores in the South of England/ London area. You will assist the property department with day-to-day management of the companies property portfolio. The role will be to ensure smooth operation and compliance of the estate whilst also supporting the wider Property function Your main responsibilities: • Assist with the implementation of both planned and reactive maintenance • Conducting routine inspections of commercial and residential premises and equipment • Assess property expenditures on a weekly basis with the aim of supporting the team ensuring visibility and cost control • Assist with the day-to-day delivery of property management. Working closely with external maintenance providers, ensuring both reactive and planned maintenance is delivered in a satisfactory and cost-effective manner • To represent the property function internally and wider business externally in a professional manner • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary • Identify and report the need for major maintenance repairs • Managing specification and arranging quotes where necessary • Respond to stores maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, reporting and feedback • Help develop and implement the budget for the Property department. • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and materials • Engage with Operations, becoming a key part of the Operations support structure and delivering great day to day service, minimising loss of trade through closures or equipment downtime • Provide support to sites and the Operations teams to keep sites trading, safely, legally and with the best standards of look and feel • Carry out visits to inspect sites and check on contractor’s work • Deal with issues and incidents, remotely where possible providing triage with sites • Manage contractors on a day-to-day basis About you: • Solid experience with plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems • Retail experience is preferred • Practical understanding and ability to resolve maintenance issues • Personable, engaging with multiple stakeholders • Attention to detail and personal responsibility • Detail-orientated and technically minded with an aptitude for problem solving • Extremely organized with good communication skills • Time management and flexibility to prioritise workload in a reactive pressurised environment • Calm and considered, an investigative mind and a decision maker • Excellent customer service skills • Commercial awareness • Decision making ability • Good IT skills • Ability to work well as part of a team • Driving Licence About Bestway Bestway Group is a diversified multinational family owned business with annualised turnover in excess of £4.5 billion.
