SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As a Workshop Engineer at LGH Winches you will be an integral part of our team dedicated to maintaining the high standards across a range of winching equipment within our fleet to ensure that these comply with the statutorily established rules.
OVERVIEW OF ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Servicing, Examination, and Testing of winches, Cable Drum Trailers and associated equipment.
* Potential requirement to participate in the breakdown service for maintenance/repair of equipment outside office hours.
* Ensuring correct administrative completion.
* Collaborating with various departments to understand the customer requirements.
* Co-responsibility for order and tidiness in the workshop.
* Any other work relating to the workshop.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Completed training as workshop engineer/ plant fitter.
* Ability to diagnose faults on both hydraulic and electrical circuits.
* Command of the English language both orally and in writing.
* Safety awareness and understanding.
* Full driving license (current & with maximum of 6 penalty points ).
* Ability to prioritise effectively under pressure when required.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Able to travel throughout the UK as required.
* Undertake training courses relevant to your role.
* Able to work outside normal working hours (weekends/evenings).
