Axcis Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in South Bristol to recruit a full-time Behaviour Support Worker to join their pastoral team from September 2025.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people, particularly those who benefit from structure, high expectations, and targeted pastoral support. The RoleYou will play a key role in maintaining high behaviour standards across the school and providing consistent support to students who require additional pastoral care. Key responsibilities include:•Supporting the implementation of the school’s behaviour policy• Managing a Referral Room to ensure a calm and supportive space for students• Delivering 1:1 and small-group behaviour support interventions• Acting as a mentor to identified pupils• Working closely with the pastoral team and senior leaders The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:• Has experience working with vulnerable or challenging young people• Can confidently manage behaviour and de-escalate situations when needed• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Holds at least 3 GCSEs (including English at C/4 or above)• Is resilient, empathetic, and motivated to make a lasting difference Role Details• Location: South Bristol (easily accessible by public transport)• Start Date: September 2025• Working Hours:o Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:00o Friday: 08:00 – 15:30• Contract: Term-time only, permanent• Salary: £23,220 – £24,773 per annum Why Apply?This is a great opportunity to join a well-structured and values-led school that places huge importance on staff support, student wellbeing, and professional development.
