We’re looking for an experienced Building Services Manager to lead the operational delivery of facilities management across our UK estate. This role is responsible for ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, resilient and fit for purpose, with ownership of service delivery, statutory compliance, physical security and health & safety.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver high-quality FM services while supporting compliance with ISO, ISO, ISO and SOC 2.
1. Lead day-to-day facilities management operations across multiple sites
2. Own the prioritisation and resolution of reactive maintenance issues, ensuring risks are assessed and mitigated appropriately
3. Manage FM staff and oversee contractors and service providers
4. Own reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring risks are assessed and controlled
5. Manage FM budgets, supplier contracts and cost control
6. Maintain and deliver Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and statutory compliance programmes
7. Ensure compliance across fire safety, electrical, water hygiene, lifting equipment and power resilience systems
8. Maintain accurate compliance and audit records
9. Act as the main escalation point for building-related issues
10. Manage physical security and access control systems, including joiners, leavers and contractor access
11. Support internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives
12. Lead operational Health & Safety and fire safety arrangements
13. Support sustainability and environmental objectives
Skills
14. Proven experience in facilities or building services management
15. Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, PPM and contractor management
16. Experience managing budgets and FM service contracts
17. Working knowledge of ISO standards and audit-driven environments
18. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
19. Confident decision-maker with a proactive, risk-based approach
