Wedding & Events Catering Coordinator for Nibbles2Nosh at the beautiful Upwaltham Barns
Are you passionate about weddings, events, and creating unforgettable guest experiences? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same? This is your chance to step into the heart of one of Sussex's most stunning barn venues, working with the Nibbles2Nosh team to bring dream weddings to life.
As our Wedding & Events Catering Coordinator, you'll be the vital link between clients, the venue, and our catering team – the person who makes the magic happen behind the scenes. From guiding couples through their catering choices to orchestrating service on the big day, you'll be hands-on, creative, and right at the centre of the action.
Why join us?
This isn't just a job – it's a career-launching role where you'll gain real responsibility, leadership experience, and the chance to work in one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Sussex. You'll be part of a supportive, fun, and passionate team who take pride in delivering unforgettable moments for our couples and clients.
What you'll be doing:
* Meeting with clients (mainly at weekends) to discuss and sell our bespoke catering packages.
* Supporting couples in the run-up to and on their wedding day, making sure every detail is perfect.
* Taking ownership of your events from start to finish: quoting, planning, organising, and managing.
* Leading a team of up to 12 on event days, delivering outstanding service with a smile.
* Getting involved in marketing, social media, and promotional events to showcase what we do best.
* Providing admin and client support, ensuring the whole process feels smooth and stress-free.
What we're looking for:
We're after someone with personality, positivity, and a true passion for hospitality and events. At Upwaltham Barns, we pride ourselves on our friendly, family-style ethos, and we're looking for someone who can bring energy, professionalism, and warmth in equal measure.
* A graduate OR someone with 1+ years' experience in hospitality/events.
* Tech and social media savvy (Instagram, Tik Tok, Word, Excel, Outlook – Apple Mac a bonus).
* Motivated, proactive and calm under pressure – someone who just gets stuck in.
* Organised, detail-focused, and great at juggling deadlines.
* Confident with people – from chatting with couples to leading a team.
* A genuine team player who ends the day with the same enthusiasm they started with.
The practical bits:
* Basic Hours: Week 1: Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun (8.30am–4.30pm), Week 2: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri (8.30am–4.30pm)
* Event Day and hours: Around 35–45 per year working until approx. 8.30pm. Event days are predominantly your week 1 weekends, plus some weekdays. Flexibility is key – weddings don't always stick to office hours
* Holiday: 28 days paid (including bank holidays – though you may work some of these).
If you're energetic, enthusiastic, and excited by the idea of being part of a growing catering business with a heart, we'd love to hear from you.
