Our client, an excelling freight forwarding and logistics organisation, operating in over 50 different countries, are looking to expand further and are recruiting for an Inside Sales Representative to be based at their offices in Birmingham. On Offer: * Salary up to £35K, dependent on skills & experience. * Bonus * 36.25 working week, either 8-4, 9-5 or 10-6 with a 45 min lunch break * 25 days holidays (with service can increase to up to 30) * Company Pension and Life Assurance – four times annual salary * Health Plan * Company events * Free parking and free refreshments Main Purpose of the Inside Sales Representative: Reporting to the Business Development Director, in this role, you’ll play a vital part in fueling business growth - generating quality leads, qualifying opportunities, and securing high-value appointments for Business Development Managers with key decision-makers across the logistics and supply chain industry. Duties and Responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative: * Drive new business growth by booking high-quality appointments and meetings for the Business Development Managers. * Take the lead on outbound calls and email outreach to connect with decision-makers across the freight forwarding and logistics sector. * Work hand-in-hand with the Business Development team to pinpoint target customers, key trade lanes, and emerging opportunities. * Qualify prospects by uncovering their logistics pain points, shipment volumes, and service expectations to position tailored solutions. * Keep detailed and accurate records of all prospect interactions, follow-ups, and pipeline activity within the CRM system. * Research target markets and competitors to identify untapped opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends. * Build trust and credibility with prospects through professional, engaging, and consultative communication. * Collaborate seamlessly with sales colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful handover of qualified leads into the sales cycle. * Consistently hit - and aim to exceed—monthly KPIs for appointments booked, conversion rates, and lead quality. * Represent the company with energy, integrity, and a genuine passion for helping customers move their freight smarter and faster. To Be Considered: * Confident communicator with previous experience in appointment setting, telesales, sales support, cold calling required. * Knowledge of international shipping, global logistics and freight forwarding services is advantageous. * A strong appetite to learn about the global logistics industry.
