Execute the network strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.
Oversee the implementation and support of LAN/WAN, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and data center network security solutions.
Collaborate with Architecture, InfoSec, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence within the network team.
Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery across all locations.
Develop and manage the network budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and value for money.
Effectively communicate network strategy, performance, and project status to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and ensure network services are aligned with their requirements.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for a geographically distributed team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Seasoned Senior IT Manager with a strong background in network technologies and a proven leadership track record.
* Experience transforming network functions into high-performing shared services supporting UK and EU operations.
* Extensive experience in enterprise network management across multiple industries or business units.
* Strong technical knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, Azure/AWS networking, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, DNS/DHCP.
* Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools.
* Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and cloud technologies.
* Proven success leading teams through transformation and change.
* Experience in shared services or matrixed environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Strong understanding of ITIL practices and service delivery.
Desirable
* Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
* Experience with network observability and automation tools.
* Familiarity with UK and EU compliance and regulatory requirements.
