Job Description:
Reporting to the Lead Consultant, this Technician role is in the Policy and Resource Management team within Roads and Transportation Services.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support and assist in the management of Fife’s roads assets, ensuring they are fit for purpose, safe for road users, and that their condition is managed, maintained, and improved in line with the Roads Asset Management Plan.
The role aims to ensure the delivery of safe, sustainable, and customer-focused solutions, contributing to continuous improvement and effective service delivery.

The Person
You should be educated to SCQF level 7, which includes HNC in Civil Engineering or relevant subjects, or Advanced Highers or equivalent.
Additionally, you must demonstrate:
* Good communication skills and experience dealing with the public and internal/external bodies.
* Experience preparing information for dissemination.
* Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* GIS skills relevant to the role.
* Some understanding of road asset management and financial practices.
