We’re looking for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Thirsk. This is a rewarding opportunity to take on a key role within the classroom, supporting learning and leading lessons when required.
What you’ll be doing
1. Delivering pre-planned lessons and covering classes when needed
2. Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
3. Working with small groups and individuals to boost progress
4. Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
5. Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
6. Using consistent, nurturing behaviour strategies
7. Collaborating closely with teachers, SEN staff and school leaders
8. Contributing to whole-school life and development
