Job Title: Maths Teacher - Alternative Provision - September Start Location: RotherhamSalary: £180-£250 per day (depending on experience)Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for long-term or permanent placement)Start Date: September 2025 We're working with a supportive and well-established Alternative Provision (AP) in Rotherham seeking a confident and dedicated Maths Teacher for a September start. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people who face barriers to learning, particularly those with SEMH or behavioural needs.
The Role:
* Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
* Teaching small groups and offering 1:1 support where needed
* Supporting students with additional needs in a trauma-informed, inclusive environment
* Working collaboratively with support staff and external agencies to meet student needs
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
* Experience teaching in an AP, PRU, SEN or SEMH setting is highly desirable
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* A calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
