The Nursery Teacher will plan child-led, developmentally appropriate activities, maintain learning journals and work closely with families to support routines and transitions. Role responsibilities
* Design and implement stimulating nursery sessions that support communication, early numeracy and physical development.
* Observe children, record development and use evidence to plan precise next steps and group activities.
* Build positive partnerships with families to support routines, attendance and early-home learning in Croydon.
* Maintain safe indoor and outdoor environments, carry out basic site checks and ensure resources are well organised.
* Contribute to staff training and share effective early-years practice across the phase.
Person specification
* Qualified with relevant early-years experience and strong understanding of child development in nursery contexts.
* Practical, organised and skilled at building trusting relationships with families and colleagues in Croydon.
* Committed to inclusive practice, safeguarding and high-quality early-years pedagogy.
* Available to begin January 2026 and to attend induction prior to January 2026.
