The Role
Within this role, you will be working as a part of our experienced mechanical team carrying out MOT checks. You will be working as a part of an experienced workshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Workshop Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Carry out MOT tests
2. Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
3. Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
4. Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
5. Assist with general workshop tasks as and when required
6. Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles
7. Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
8. Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed
Skills and expertise
9. Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
10. Qualified as a MOT Tester (essential)
11. Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (essential)
12. Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
13. Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
14. You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
15. You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
