Business Development Manager
Grants, Tax Incentives & Business Finance
Office-based in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester. Full-time 35-hour working week, Monday – Friday.
Basic salary £24,000 - £30,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) plus generous uncapped commission.

Our client specialise in empowering businesses by helping them to access a variety of funding solutions. They are a leader in the R&D Tax sector and have expanded their offering to include Business Finance and other Tax Services. Their ultimate goal is to provide an all-encompassing finance function for their clients.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an office-based Business Development Manager to join a growing internal sales team. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial success of the Tax Services function.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and expand their prospect database using a variety of sales prospecting methods, to attract new clients and referral partners
* Maintain a wide network of clients and referral partners, managing these relationships with professionalism
* Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of our clients products, services and solutions, with an emphasis on their tax services
* Recognise and respond to changing client needs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
* Manage inbound queries from new and existing clients and partners in a timely manner
* Deliver on KPIs as set by the business
* Work cohesively with other departments to ensure clients receive best possible service
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
* Some experience with or an interest in sales / business development
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage and build relationships with clients
* Strong work-ethic, self-motivated and proactive, with a results-driven mindset
* Strong organisational skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good computer literacy
* Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* Some experience in financial services or tax services
* Proven sales target delivery experience
* Network within the SME world
* Knowledge of tax incentives such as Research & Development Tax Credits, Embedded Capital Allowances and Land Remediation Relief
