Job Description:
Work closely with Tendering Engineers, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and report directly to the Tendering Manager to support technically accurate and commercially aligned tender submissions.
Conduct technical reviews of RFQs received via RSMs, prioritising rapid assessment of engineering requirements, specifications and manufacturing feasibility as they arrive in the high‑volume tendering inbox.
Evaluate design packages and technical returns from the Engineering / Technical Team to ensure alignment with tender specifications, engineering standards, and manufacturability.
Analyse supplier quotation returns-both internal manufacturing partners and external engineering suppliers-verifying compliance with engineering requirements, material specifications, and cost parameters.
Maintain and manage a high‑activity Tendering mailbox, ensuring efficient handling, routing, and categorisation of engineering‑related correspondence.
Control and update Opportunities within operational systems such as Pulse, Therefore, and other digital platforms used for workflow, document control, and engineering data management.
Build a strong understanding of the organisations technical drawings, engineering documentation, BOMs, and data sheets to support accurate interpretation of product requirements and tender details.
Engage with internal manufacturing teams and external engineering suppliers to source accurate costings, lead times, and technical quotations, ensuring all data aligns with the engineering and commercial scope of each tender.Experience:
Electrical Power Supply Sector or within a technical manufacturing/supply sector
Industry knowledge in the Electrical Power Sector - desirable
An electrical engineering background or qualification - desirable
Good IT skills - essential
