Equans is looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
1. Lead the planning, management, and completion of selection questionnaires and tender submissions across all procurement stages.
2. Draft, write, and coordinate high-quality bid responses that clearly address client requirements and position Equans for success.
3. Build strong internal and external relationships to gather and share information that enhances bid quality.
4. Support and mentor Bid Writers, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
5. Conduct site visits and stakeholder interviews to inform bid content and strategy.
6. Continuously improve bid processes and share best practices across the team.
7. Maintain and update a library of standard responses and assist with PowerPoint presentations.
8. Ensure all submissions meet company standards and are delivered on time.

Who are you?
20. Minimum 5 years experience managing social housing bids, ideally with a direct competitor.
21. Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
22. Excellent time management and attention to detail.
23. Confident working independently and escalating issues when needed.
24. Familiar with bid portals and submission processes.
25. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); InDesign experience is a plus.
26. Desirable: Degree in a related subject, APMP certification, or membership of a chartered institute (e.g., CIOB).
27. A background in graphic design, R&M, or new build bids would be advantageous.
28. Ability to manage complex, high-priority bids and deliver under pressure.
