The Role: Public Areas & Linen Supervisor is responsible for the full operational ownership of all public areas and linen operations within the hotel. This role focuses on delivering exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and efficiency, ensuring all guest-facing areas and linen services meet the highest luxury standards in line with LQA expectations. The supervisor leads from the floor, driving performance, implementing standards, and enhancing the overall guest experience through precision, consistency, and strong team leadership. Team · Lead by example with professionalism, energy, and a strong on-floor presence · Supervise public area attendants and linen teams · Take ownership of team performance, productivity, and daily output · Delegate tasks effectively while holding team members accountable · Actively train, coach, and develop team members in both areas · Address performance issues promptly and constructively · Foster teamwork, consistency, and pride in standards Guest · Enhance the guest experience across all public areas and laundry services through exceptional cleanliness and presentation · Ensure all guest-facing areas are always maintained to the highest standards · Uphold and implement LQA standards within public areas and linen presentation · Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or issues · Ensure discretion and minimal disruption when working in guest areas Environment · Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment across public areas and linen operations · Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards · Promote sustainability and efficient use of resources · Take ownership of stock management across linen and public area supplies · Ensure equipment is maintained and issues are reported promptly · Drive continuous improvement in processes and standards You’ll also be expected to deliver on the following: · Take full responsibility for the daily performance of public areas and linen operations · Supervise all public area cleaning, ensuring spaces are consistently maintained to luxury standards · Oversee linen operations, ensuring correct handling, distribution, and availability always · Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and precision across all areas · Implement and uphold LQA standards, actively participating in audits and quality reviews · Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure consistency and excellence · Maintain a strong and visible presence on the floor, particularly during peak guest periods · Monitor team productivity and ensure efficient use of time and resources · Reallocate tasks where required to meet operational demands · Lead daily briefings and handovers with clear direction and expectations · Train and develop team members in public area standards and linen procedures · Support onboarding of new team members within these areas · Implement new processes to improve efficiency, standards, and workflow · Manage stock levels for linen, cleaning supplies, and amenities, always ensuring availability · Ensure all SOPs are followed consistently across public areas and linen · Manage and report maintenance issues, damage, or discrepancies in line with procedures Who we are looking for: We recruit people with widely varying personalities from different walks of life and backgrounds.
