Hoist & Stairlift Installation EngineerOur client is a well-established Sussex-based mobility company specialising in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of stairlifts, hoists, and mobility equipment across the Southeast and West Sussex.We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Hoist & Stairlift Installation Engineer to join our growing engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, customer-focused engineer who enjoys working independently while also contributing as part of a supportive team.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Installing, servicing, and maintaining a range of stairlifts and overhead hoist systemsDiagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safelyWorking in private homes and customer environments with professionalism and careManaging planned works and reactive service calls across the South East and West SussexParticipating in an emergency call-out Rota (with additional earnings and standby payments)Completing service documentation and compliance records accuratelyFollowing company health & safety procedures and manufacturer guidelinesTraining and product familiarisation will be provided on the specific manufacturers and equipment used by Southern Mobility Centres.RequirementsEssential:Previous experience installing and servicing stairliftsStrong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skillsAbility to work independently and manage daily schedules effectivelyGood communication and customer service skillsPractical problem-solving ability and attention to detailFull clean UK driving licenceWillingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out Rota (1 in 4)Willingness to learn and develop additional skills in hoist systems and mobility equipmentDBS clearance or willingness to undergo a DBS checkDesirable:Experience with ceiling track hoists or mobility equipmentLOLER awareness or experienceElectrical qualifications (18th Edition, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent)Experience working in customer homes or healthcare environmentsManual handling certificationWorking HoursFull-time 40 hours per weekMonday to FridayOvertime and emergency call-out work availableSalary & BenefitsSalary:Competitive salary £28,000 £32,000Additional call-out and overtime earnings availableBenefits:Company vanMobile phoneTools and equipment providedManufacturer and in-house trainingOngoing technical developmentStable long-term role with growing companyLocationField-based role covering:South EastWest SussexApplicants must be based within a reasonable travelling distance in Eastbourne or nearby.Whats next?
