Job Overview
1. Act as a representative of Mitie carrying out work as detailed by the Operations Manager
2. Conduct yourself in a professional manner in support of our customers and work colleagues
3. Operational responsibility to deliver a first class service and meeting the required profit margins upon the contracted and reactive works, from the customers
4. To ensure all works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification
5. Delegate work to Shift and day engineering teams, in conjunction with the Service Desk Administration Team and Senior Managers
6. Training the shift teams as required including delivering Tool box talks and team briefs
7. Checking paperwork and service standards completed by shift teams
8. Carry out allocated service work within agreed time schedules, adhering to the Mitie Maintenance Quality Management System and quality policy, and to the relevant industry guidelines and customer specifications
9. Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Operations Manager
10. Take responsibility for your own training needs and bring them to the attention of the Operations Manager
11. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health & Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice
Main Duties
12. Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to
13. Ensure compliance with the MITIE Maintenance Quality Management System as it applies to this position
14. Assist the Operations Manager in ensuring that all Statutory and Legislative requirements are achieved/adhered to for the site
15. Ensure clients operational procedures are adhered to at all times
16. Obtain appropriate authorisation for access into restricted areas from the client's representative as and when required
17. Ensure compliance with MITIE and Client confidentiality policies
18. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on engineering services as required
19. Procure materials and equipment to carry out works
20. To organise and supervise sub-contractor as and when required
21. Ensure worksheets are completed for works undertaken and obtain authorisation from the Clients representative
22. Advise Client of minor additional works, compile estimates and submit through Service Desk/ Operations Manager
23. Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration
24. Work with Planet FM system to run KPI reports and reschedule sub-contractors when needed
25. To conduct reviews with staff members
26. To ensure good house keeping of plant rooms
What we are looking for
27. BS Electrical Regulations
28. Ideally served a recognised electrical trade training scheme
29. Ability to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required within the scope of the contract
30. IOSH Managing safely
31. Customer care/relationship building skills
32. Able to work as a member of a team
33. Able to work without direct supervision
34. Able to conduct surveys throughout client sites
35. Able to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company
