As our new Recruitment & Compliance Assistant, you’ll be at the very heart of this transformation. You’ll help shape the way we work, strengthen our recruitment compliance processes and play a key part in ensuring our people can join us smoothly, confidently and ready to thrive. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering a high-quality, consistent recruitment service across the council. Your day-to-day work will include: - Managing all pre-employment compliance checks including references, right to work checks and DBS checks, ensuring every new starter meets our legal and safeguarding requirements, in line with our policies. -Preparing and issuing offer letters using the Tribepad applicant tracking system. - Supporting the Talent Acquisition Team when required with advertising, shortlisting, interview coordination and candidate communication. - Championing our THRIVE values — Trust, High Performance, Respect, Innovate and Empower — in everything you do. Organised, proactive and positive, you enjoy supporting others and building great working relationships. Whether you’re handling compliance checks, answering queries or coordinating recruitment activity, you bring professionalism, warmth and a genuine commitment to delivering a great service. Experience of working in a recruitment and/or compliance environment with some knowledge of employment law would be an advantage, as would knowledge of CQC guidance on pre-employment checks.
