We are looking for an Occupational Health Advisor to join our team on a part time (30 hours), permanent basis. This role offers a hybrid working environment with the base location being in Nottingham Trinity House (The option to work in different offices if required is possible around Face to Face meetings in Nottingham) along with a salary of £44,199 to £56,113 and a market leading benefits package.

Here's what you'll be doing
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Occupational Health Advisor to provide a high-quality Occupational Health Service for our UK business. You will be joining our small but expert multi-disciplinary team of Occupational Health and Employee Relations colleagues who will take responsibility for every aspect of Occupational Health from case management to developing digital tools to enable managers and employees to self-service through self-care.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
1. Deliver a modern, business-focused Occupational Health service for diverse business areas
2. Conduct a combination of remote, telephone and face-to-face consultations
3. Utilise Occupational Health experience for expert advice
4. Support the management of employee absences
5. Follow referral, assessment, and rehabilitation processes to SEQOHS standards or equivalent
6. Work autonomously and at a fast pace with minimal clinical supervision
7. Utilise peer reviews for complex cases; escalate to the OH Physician when required
8. Assess fitness for work and understand implications of the Equality Act
9. Produce high-quality and timely reports
10. Act on findings from clinical and procedural audits
11. Demonstrate passion for championing health and wellbeing
12. Confident presenter and decision-maker with good analytical skills
13. Collaborate for continuous internal improvements
14. Act on own initiative in a challenging and changing environment
What we need from you
15. Registered General Nurse qualification with active NMC pin.
16. Additional post graduate qualification in Occupational Health at certificate level or above
17. Previous experience in occupational health or a related field
18. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees and other stakeholders.
19. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess workplace hazards and health issues.
20. Ability to build positive relationships with employees and work collaboratively with other professionals.
21. High attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and assessment.
22. A team player
23. Ability to work unsupervised and manage on own workloads
It would be great if you had:
24. Experience with medical system OPAS G2 and contribution to ongoing development.
