Role Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, play-based and structured lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum
* Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes early literacy, numeracy, and social development
* Use ongoing assessment to monitor progress and adapt learning to meet individual needs
* Support phonics development through structured programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
* Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure every child thrives
* Participate in whole-school events, assemblies, and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Have experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1 (preferred but not essential)
* Be passionate about early childhood education and development
* Demonstrate strong classroom management and differentiation skills
* Be committed to raising standards and fostering a love of learning
* Embrace a growth mindset and value continuous professional development
* Be confident using interactive learning tools and technology
