Location - Swansea
Based in Department for Transport Unity Business Services Operations in Swansea you’ll be responsible for the co-ordination and administration of Change impacting the operational areas.
You will liaise with HR/ Payroll, Customer Services, Finance and Accounts Payable to request a review and impact assessment on Request for Change (RFC) and Request for Operational Change (RFOC).
As part of the role you will maintain the Change tracker documenting the status of the RFC/RFOC’s from receipt to delivery.
Job description
This role is to coordinate change for DfT Unity Business Services for the DfT Operational functions.
The role will assist in supporting the Change Lead in Planning, Implementation and Business Readiness Requirements as a result of the delivery of the change.
You will act as a central point for receipt of RFC’s and RFOC’s, your role will be to log and to co-ordinate with the DfT Operational areas for their review and impact assessment of the change.
Working collaboratively with DfT to address any areas of concern or clarifications on the requirement.
As part of the role, you will support the Change Lead in providing management information relating to change to Senior Stakeholders.
Continually monitor and identify Continuous Improvement items relating to Change delivery.
Person specification
As part of the role, you will need to:
* Co-ordination of all change requests including RFC’s and RFOC’s. Logging them onto the Change Control tracker documenting the status of the RFC from receipt to delivery.
* Ensure the Change Control Process is adhered to within DfT UBS Ops and the correct governance is in place for Change.
* Managing the impact assessment of change requests, liaising with the DfT UBS Operational areas for their input.
* Good Working knowledge of the various functional areas within Operations.
* Support the Change Lead in the scheduling and delivery of Change.
* In the absence of the Change Lead, attend Requirement Refinement, Backlog Confirmation and the Change Release Board on behalf of DfT UBS Ops.
* Ensure any risks and issues relating to change are escalated to the Change Lead
* Working collaboratively with DfT UCM and BU’s relating to Requirements, Scope and process impact of Change.
* Provide Test Management support for Release Dependent RFCs for SAP and Agresso.
* Encourage and educate Change Management best practice within DfT UBS Operations.
* Provide Management Information relating to Change to the Change Lead to support the creation of monthly MI for DfT and SLT.
