Gas Engineer
Location: North Somerset
Salary: £40,041 per annum
Permanent | Full Time (39 hours per week)
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Gas Engineer to join the Property Operations team, delivering high-quality services across communities in North Somerset.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 39 hours per week, with participation in an out-of-hours standby rota.
About the Role
As part of the Gas Team, you will:
* Carry out annual gas servicing, breakdowns and repairs
* Complete central heating system maintenance and upgrades
* Focus on boiler replacements
* Deliver a “right first time” approach to repairs
* Work in occupied properties, liaising directly with tenants
* Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations and H&S legislation
* Complete Gas Safe certificates and associated documentation accurately
* Use a tablet/mobile device to manage and receive jobs
* Maintain allocated vehicle stock, tools and equipment
* Participate in training, toolbox talks and appraisals
* You will also have access to ongoing development opportunities, including licensed asbestos removal training.
What We're Looking For
* Current CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, WAT1 and CEN gas qualifications
* Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ qualification
* Proven experience working in line with Health & Safety legislation
* Full, clean UK driving licence (company van provided)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong customer service skills
* Basic IT skills (training provided where required)
