Advert ORKNEY HEALTH AND CARE Kalisgarth Care Centre Social Care Assistant 37 hours per week, Working day and night shifts over seven days Permanent £34,650 – 35,360 / £17.96 – £18.33 per hour (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance) We are seeking to recruit someone who is highly motivated to provide high quality services to older people in our extra care facility. You will be required to undertake tasks as delegated by senior staff but also need to be able to use your own initiative at times. The post requires adherence to Care Standards and Codes of Practice as well as a positive attitude towards optimum fulfilment of older people’s lives. Previous experience in social care is highly desirable though not essential. You should hold a minimum of SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care at Home Service for Adults or achieve this within five years of appointment. You must also register with SSSC as a Support Worker within three months of appointment.
