LHH is seeking a SAFETY MANAGER for a contract-to-hire position in Richmond, TX.
Position: SAFETY MANAGER
Type: contract-to-hire
Location: 100% ONSITE (Richmond, TX 77469)
Pay Range: $39-44/hr DOE
Work Schedule: M-F, 8 am-5 pm (must be flexible to work overtime)
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Safety/Compliance Manager to join the team. This role is a replacement for the current safety manager who prefers fieldwork over necessary administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in safety/compliance and 3+ years in management. This position requires someone who is firm, tough, and experienced in leadership roles, capable of fixing situations independently and performing administrative work when needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Help with onboarding and safety meetings for the pit crew.
* Assist with MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and DOT (Department of Transportation) checks.
* Monitor pit truck operations and safety.
* Communicate with drivers about dashcams and ensure compliance.
* Assist with injury-related tasks and safety procedures.
* Audit paperwork and ensure everything is in order.
* Manage a team of about 6 people.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 7+ years of experience in safety/compliance and 3+ years in management.
* Strong problem-solving skills and organizational abilities.
* Willingness to dive into any task that needs doing.
* Natural leadership qualities, able to stay productive and keep the team on track.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
* The role involves logistics compliance work, including DOT compliance, safety protocol enforcement, and truck coordination.
Pay Details: $39.00 to $44.00 per hour
