Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Utilities & Civils (NEC, Major Infrastructure)

?? About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a major infrastructure programme (HS2) in London. The role will focus on utilities, civils, and faade packages, with full responsibility for commercial management, change control, and contract administration, particularly under NEC contracts.
?? Work Packages You'll Be Managing:
1. Change Control & Contract Correspondence (CEMAR & Aconex)
* Managing NEC3/4 processes
* Liaising with project teams on cost and change impact
2. Utilities Diversions
* Water, gas, electric, sewer & data
* Includes enabling works and asset protection surveys
* ~£15m/year over 3+ years
3. Faade Works
* New traction substation rainscreen cladding
* Brickwork & render to two existing buildings
* ~£10m package
4. Civils - Haul Road, Piling & Excavation
* Bulk earthworks, capping beam, rail material movements
* ~£20m+ package
?? Key Responsibilities:
* Manage change control, EWNs, CE assessments, and contractual correspondence
* Lead subcontractor and supplier management
* Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts
* Assess and negotiate claims
* Collaborate closely with commercial, delivery and design teams
* Provide commercial input into procurement, tendering, and package finalisation
* Use systems like CEMAR, Aconex, Oracle/SAP
? What We're Looking For:
* Strong NEC contract knowledge (mandatory)
* Experience on major infrastructure projects (£100m+)
* Utilities and/or civils background preferred
* Confident managing large subcontract packages
* Ideally RICS qualified or equivalent experience
* Strong with cost forecasting, change control and reporting
* Comfortable leading discussions and reporting to senior stakeholders
