Influence how high-quality palliative care evolves as a Head of Clinical Development and Service Improvement. This senior leadership role offers the chance to drive service transformation, clinical innovation, and quality improvement across a specialist healthcare environment. Candidates currently working as a Clinical Service Improvement Lead or Clinical Development Lead may find this a natural next step.

As Head of Clinical Development and Service Improvement, you will work closely with senior clinical leaders to strengthen governance, improve performance, and ensure services remain responsive to patient and family needs.

This role offers strong autonomy and the opportunity to shape clinical strategy while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across a complex healthcare setting.

Package & Benefits

• Salary up to £75,000 per annum.

About the Company

This organisation provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care through multidisciplinary clinical teams. Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical service development and transformation initiatives to improve quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
• Oversee clinical governance frameworks including audit, incident management, and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse service performance data and develop improvement plans aligned with strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with senior clinical leaders and external healthcare partners to strengthen integrated service delivery.

About You

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration and significant post-registration clinical experience.
• Senior leadership experience within NHS or hospice services including service improvement or transformation programmes.
• Experience implementing clinical governance frameworks including audit, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
