Please note: You must be a full UK citizen living and working in the UK to be considered for this opportunity. You must also have relevant industrial automation application support experience covering electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming.
This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading industrial automation equipment suppliers as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The successful candidate will be required to live in the South East area of the UK. This is a work-from-home role.
The Application Engineer is an expert providing the best technical consulting and solutions for key industrial automation applications to the sales teams during pre-sales, considering commercial aspects, and supporting assigned projects. The specific fields of expertise for this role include commissioning, software, and controls functionalities.
Key Aspects Of The Role:
* Independently translate multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software domains using the latest technologies.
* Assess the technical feasibility of proposals based on industry and technology segment knowledge.
* Prepare specification lists and write technical elements for customer proposals.
* Create requirement specifications with the customer.
* Ensure deadlines are met and projects are realized successfully.
* Report relevant activities and developments, ensuring proper project data management.
* Handle complaints with appropriate action plans.
* Discuss machine concepts to optimize designs and define specifications.
* Support drafting of account plans.
* During pre-sales, act as an interface between the customer and relevant departments within the company, coordinating with the sales engineer.
* Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to the team on specific products and applications.
* Support compliance with norms and regulations.
* Identify and support winning projects.
* Manage project commissioning at the customer site, coordinating technical activities.
* Contribute proactively to marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
