We are excited to be able to offer the following vacancy with Small Wonders to join our happy, caring and professional team.Nursery Nurse - Level 3 35-40 HoursWe are a family run home from home nursery providing child care for children aged birth to 5 years.We are open for 51 weeks of the year from 8am-6pm.Experience and knowledge of the EYFS is essential.All applicants will be subject to a DBS, medical questionnaire and references will be needed.*Job Description:*To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.To ensure all daily routines are adhered to.To plan, organise and carry out planned activities as well as provide appropriately for child-initiated activities.Support the Room Leader in supervising and monitoring students in training and Nursery Assistants if necessary.To settle in new children and provide on-going support, under a key worker system, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications.To maintain children’s records and carry out assessments.To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy base room.To keep abreast of current issues and attend training as necessaryContribute to and participate in team meetings/team activities, outside of nursery open hours if necessary.Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the Nursery.To respect confidentiality within the setting.To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient manner.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From £12.77 per hourBenefits:* Additional leave* Childcare* Company events* Company pension* Employee discount* Free parking* On-site parkingExperience:* Nursery: 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
