Overview
East Ward Community Primary School is seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated Class Teacher to lead teaching and learning within our specialist resourced provision, The Honey Pot. This 22-place provision caters for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), primarily those with Autism and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs. Places are allocated through the Local Authority’s Special Educational Needs Team. The role is a temporary position covering Maternity Leave.

Responsibilities
* Lead teaching and learning within the specialist resourced provision (The Honey Pot).
* Support children with Autism and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs and contribute to inclusive and adaptive teaching practices.
* Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
* Work as part of a team committed to continually raising standards and upholding the school’s ethos.
* Ensure safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; protect them from harm.
Person specification / Qualifications
* Experience of working with children with Autism and/or speech, language and communication needs, or a strong commitment to supporting those with special needs.
* Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching practices.
* Willingness to participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
