Communications Executive
Reports to: Corporate Communications Manager
About the Corporate Communications team:
The Corporate Communications team is integral in telling the brand story of Fremantle to our audiences, both internal and external. The team devises and implements compelling business narrative in business and trade press and also oversees a complimentary and creative internal communications agenda, which supports that narrative reaching across all our colleagues across our 30 international offices.
The role:
The Communications Executive will play key role in the Corporate Communications team, by working on and overseeing elements of external,internal and social communications across the Fremantle global network of territories.
This is a great, busy and varied role for someone with the right attitude who is looking to make a career in communications. The right candidate will be proactive, creative and organised and ideally will have already worked in a busy press office or agency environment, with demonstrable communications skills and contacts. Working hours will be 09:30 – 18:00, Monday– Friday. Some flexibility is required during exceptionally busy periods and therefore evening and weekend working may be required at times.
Job summary:
* · Overseeing the day-to-day running of our internal communications platform, creating innovative campaigns to drive engagement, celebrate success and ensure programmes, initiatives and projects are communicated creatively and timely to colleagues across the Fremantle family
* · Coming up with digital-savvy ideas to share news across our internal communications platform and our social media channels
* · Build relationships with contacts across the Fremantle global family to ensure all parts of the story is being represented and celebrated across our internal channels – developing strategies for sharing their stories and updates in a timely manner
* · Supporting on the creation and execution of internal events – whether in the office, on location or streamed live on our internal communications platform – ensuring efficient event management and timely content that tells the brand story
* · Supporting on external communications to tell our brand story including writing first drafts of press releases, blogs and awards entries
* · Management of the press enquiry inbox – working with the team to handle adhoc press enquiries
Relevant skills:
* · Confident and motivated individual with a collaborative, professional and positive attitude
* · Excellent writing skills on and offline, with a digitally-curious and savvy mind
* · Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task while working to a high standard and to deadlines
* · A continued desire to increase effectiveness,learning and best practice
* · Strong IT skills – MS Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint etc.), Keynote, Adobe Photoshop or
* · other photo editing skills, content management systems
* · Ability to form relationships with colleagues at all levels
* · Organised with high attention to detail
* · Able to pre-empt / prepare for various outcomes
* · Passionate about the TV industry
